The app lets composers and producers play the same chord in any scale using visual geometry. Chord memory banks, time-changing arpeggiators, strums, complex synthesis, and parameter-locked sequencing turn theory into instant musical results. It runs as a standalone app with Ableton Link built in but offers no AUv3 support.

PolyMachine presents music theory as a visual and tactile experience. Colors and shapes guide chord building while the sequencer locks parameters to steps for evolving patterns. The clean interface works on iPad and works well for live performance or sketching.

Key features:

  • Sacred geometry of music through colors and shapes
  • Play the same chord in any scale
  • Chord memory banks
  • Time-changing arpeggiators and strums
  • Complex synthesis and parameter-locked sequencing
  • Ableton Link built in

App price: $19.99.
