The app uses your iPhone or iPad (LiDAR on iPhone 12 Pro and later) to map bass nulls, standing waves, flutter echo, comb filtering, and reflection issues. Walk your room for 3–4 minutes while playing a test tone and get hundreds of data points with clear recommendations like “move your listening position two feet forward” or “add treatment in the front left corner.”

SonarRoom runs exclusively as a standalone app with on-device processing — no data leaves your device. It works with any speaker system and helps you find the true sweet spot for mixing or listening.

Key features:

  • 3D Acoustic Heatmap that maps sound quality across your entire room in three dimensions
  • Plain-English recommendations for acoustic fixes
  • Full walk-around measurement with hundreds of spatial data points
  • Detects standing waves, bass null zones, flutter echo, comb filtering, stereo imbalance
  • Sweet Spot Finder for optimal listening/mixing position
  • Privacy-first — all processing on-device, no account required

App price: Currently free (regular price $14.99).
No in-app purchases.
