Released on January 28, 2026, this update enhances sampling and playback with mono sum options in pads menu (Stereo, Mono Sum, Mono L, Mono R), loop songs setting to repeat playback, and waveform editor showing start/end points in green/red. It fixes layout issues on tablets after renaming or using keyboard, waveform size on iPhone landscape, multi-chop in stems, sample library on iOS, caching in multi mode, segment/song numbers in file names, and visual feedback when playing segments in multi mode. MIDI device detection now only shows for new connections.

eSPi emulates the SP-1200 sampler, offering gritty sound and classic workflow for hip-hop and house production on iPhone and iPad, with Mac availability. It supports sample import/recording, chopping, pitching with signature grit, multiple filters (SSM2044, S950), effects (stereo widener, stutter, overdrive), compressor, and per-pad EQ. For iPad and iPhone music making, it provides waveform editing with BPM guides, time-stretch, key/BPM detection, multi-FX per pad, pan menu, normalize, song mode repeats/delete, adjustable bitrate (12 to 1 bit), metronome rates, multi-chop, tap/repeat, resonant Moog filter, MIDI input, live erase, sample library organization, gate mode, click prevention, and live-erase toggle. MIDI sync (slave/master), default mappings for controllers like Akai APC Mini, and tutorial system aid workflows.

This standalone app features fully stereo processing, stems export, resampling, and hold enter for silent pad selection, ideal for live performances. In iPad/iPhone setups, eSPi recreates 90s beats with authentic emulation, supporting iPhone landscape and iPad Pro, without AUv3 but with MIDI for integration.
