Igor Vasiliev released ExoSphere, a multi-layer drifting ambient generator designed for creating endless, evolving soundscapes on iOS devices. The app features five independent sample-based layers: Core for deep drones, Flow for harmonic movement, Grain for textured fragments, Shard for melodic flecks, and Glow for sparkling highs. Each layer includes detailed controls for pitch, speed, density, filtering, and spatial positioning, with support for loading custom samples or using built-in presets. A global randomizer generates instant variations, and a built-in sequencer allows automation of layer parameters for structured yet organic compositions.
ExoSphere operates as a standalone app and AUv3 plugin, compatible with hosts such as AUM, Audiobus, and Ableton Link. It supports external audio input for live processing, offers a minimalist interface optimized for touch, and maintains low CPU usage suitable for long sessions on iPad and iPhone.
