Developer 4Pockets has announced a limited-time flash discount on their newly released creative multi-FX processor, RetroLab – Vintage FX. The feature-rich plugin is currently available for just $7.99, down from its standard retail tier of $14.99, with the special promotional window running through May 29th, 2026.
RetroLab – Vintage FX is an AUv3 multi-effect environment designed to introduce the character, warmth, and organic instability of legacy hardware into modern digital audio setups. Pulling heavy inspiration from vintage tape machines, gramophones, and unstable analog electronics, RetroLab excels at breaking away from perfectly clean digital lines to add grit, texture, and movement to any sound source. Thanks to severe optimization, the environment boasts incredibly low CPU overhead, enabling musicians to run all of its built-in algorithms simultaneously with active modulation routing.
The app features multiple modular blocks that can be custom ordered to construct tailored multi-effect signal paths. Available blocks span an authentic Noise module supplying customizable vinyl crackle or tape hiss; a Wow & Flutter engine emulating mechanical tape drift; a rhythmic Glitch stutter; classic Phaser modulation; digital bitcrushing; overdrive saturation; and dedicated mechanical Tape Transport simulation. For spatial shaping, producers can tap into the Air Delay framework and a dedicated Atmosphere module to produce rich, immersive ambient soundscapes. Complex rhythmic animations are driven via three independent LFOs featuring adjustable shapes, speed sync, and macro destination knobs. Running as a universal standalone app or cross-compatible AUv3 plugin, it integrates smoothly into mobile hosts like Logic Pro, AUM, GarageBand, and Cubasis across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
