KV331 Audio launched SynthMaster 3 Player on the App Store, bringing the 16-layer architecture of their flagship desktop synthesizer to iPad and iPhone. This is not a basic preset player — the app maintains the complex internal engine of the desktop version, letting you stack up to 16 presets per instance to create layered textures or multi-instrument setups. Each layer gets independent control over voicing, unison, keyboard and velocity zones, arpeggiators, and a dedicated FX mixer. Deep modular sound design is not included, but the performance and layering controls go well beyond what most iOS synths offer at launch.
The iOS integration covers both standalone and AUv3. In Logic Pro for iPad, projects with SynthMaster 3 open on a Mac with all parameters and automation data intact — a useful feature for producers who move between mobile and desktop. In AUM you can run multiple instances in a single session for layered pads or stacked leads, and in Cubasis it records directly to instrument tracks. The preset browser filters by style, author, and instrument with real-time audio previews, which helps when navigating 500 factory presets. Registration is required to unlock those presets but there is no recurring cost.
KV331 Audio released several expansion bundles at launch. The SynthMaster Everything Bundle consolidates sounds from SynthMaster One, 2, and 3 at an introductory price of $79.99 until June 1 (regular $99.99). Smaller bundles cover individual versions at lower price points.
