ToneStack Go from Yonac was last updated on June 22, 2017. Originally released in August 2014, it established itself as one of the most comprehensive guitar amp and effects modeling platforms on iOS, featuring an extensive collection of virtual gear through its Virtual Circuit technology.
ToneStack Go is a free amp and effects modeler for iPhone and iPad using Yonac’s proprietary Virtual Circuit technology, which models units after real-life analog circuits for authentic tonal response. The free base app includes 6 amps, 6 cabinets, and 21 effects—a fully functional suite on its own. Users can expand their collection via in-app purchases to reach a total of 46 amps, 44 cabs, and 101 effects. The app supports up to 64 simultaneous amps and effects (CPU permitting), making it one of the most capable guitar processing environments on iOS.
The app supports standalone mode and AUv3 plugin integration, and includes an 8-track recorder (first two tracks included free, with the remaining six available as an IAP unlock). Advanced features like the ABY signal splitter for dual-amp setups, independent cabs, 3-mic cab positioning with distance and placement control are all available in the base package. Expanded collections of amps and effects are available as in-app purchases for those wanting to go deeper.
