Cem Olcay has released the UnderBud Bundle, a collection of tools designed for the “math-heads” and experimentalists of the iOS world. These apps focus on binary patterns and text-based generation, allowing for incredibly unique melodic structures when hosted in Logic Pro for iPad.
Producers find these tools indispensable for breaking out of creative ruts, as they force a different way of thinking about rhythm. While they are not “plug-and-play” in the traditional sense and require some study to master, the generative possibilities are endless for ambient and IDM genres.
