Zenology GX for iPad by Roland Getting Closer To Release

The Free Experience gives full access to the entire workflow and sound engine with no restrictions, plus 4000+ sounds on day one and more coming. AUv3 support is scheduled to arrive during the Free Experience, while Membership and Lifetime Key options will also become available soon.

After the Free Experience ends, the app will switch to a simplified standalone version with limited editing and a reduced sound library. Roland Cloud Pro and Ultimate members will get the full feature set and complete 12,000+ sound library (including Wave Expansions), while Lifetime Key ownership will be offered before the free period closes.

ZENOLOGY GX for iPad brings Roland’s flagship ZEN-Core synthesis to the iPad with deep sound design, expressive performance controls, and a modern interface optimized for touch. The app is built for both studio work and live play, letting producers explore everything from classic Roland tones to cutting-edge electronic textures without limits during the initial free window.

If the ZENOLOGY GX for iPad is built on the same next-generation ZEN-Core Synthesis System that powers the desktop version, this means the iPad edition will delivers the full flagship sound engine Roland uses in its hardware like FANTOM, JUPITER-X, and JUNO-X, now optimized for touch. Each tone is constructed from up to four partials, each with its own flexible oscillator, filter, amplifier, dual LFOs, and effects. The engine draws on 23 authentic oscillator and filter models, more than 7,000 PCM waveforms, 11 LFO shapes (including versatile Step LFOs), and over 90 Roland and BOSS effects — from classic JUNO-106 and CE-1 choruses to spacious reverbs and the DJ-FX looper.
