Audio Damage’s Ratshack Reverb 3 deliberately targets the lo-fi end of the reverb spectrum, emulating the Realistic (Radio Shack) analog delay unit. It was actually an analog delay, not a reverb at all, and Ratshack Reverb replicates the sound and quirks of the original. It even models the distortion that occurs by running a line signal into the mic inputs.
The plugin runs on iPhone and iPad as an AUv3 with standalone support, maintaining the simple interface of earlier Ratshack versions. Within hosts like GarageBand or AUM, users can automate the delay parameter for swelling effects.
The lo-fi character, while authentic, is too limited for general mixing applications, its better to consider it a specialty effect rather than a utility reverb.
