Analog Rack Reverb by Nembrini Audio

Nembrini Audio’s Analog Rack Reverb focuses on the combination of early digital reverbs with the tube preamps that often preceded them in studio signal chains. The reverb section with hall and room modes capture the characteristic sound of early digital processors. The tube preamp stage adds harmonic saturation before the reverb, warming the input signal and adding the compression and coloration associated with tube gear.

The plugin runs on iPhone and iPad as an AUv3 with standalone support, maintaining the rack-style interface of the Nembrini product line. Within hosts like AUM or Cubasis, users can adjust preamp drive independently of reverb parameters, enabling everything from clean ambience to saturated, compressed reverbs. The mix control allows precise wet/dry balancing.

The tube preamp can add noticeable noise at high drive settings, reflecting the behavior of the original hardware. Some users also report that the reverb algorithms, while accurate, lack the density of modern reverbs, with audible artifacts at longer decay times.

Key features include:

  • Stereo hall and room reverb modeling classic units
  • Tube preamp stage with adjustable drive
  • Decay, pre-delay, and damping controls
  • Mix control with wet/dry balancing
  • Characteristic noise at high drive settings
