The v2 update brings a more robust modulation engine with three distinct modulation sources for complex rhythmic shifting and movement. The hardware clipping stage has been updated to allow smoother, warmer tails at high feedback settings, so pushing the delay into self-oscillation produces evolving, sci-fi soundscapes without the digital harshness the original version could introduce. Stereo imaging controls are also easier to work with in this release.

What’s new in v2:

  • Expanded Modulation Matrix: Three distinct modulation sources for complex rhythmic shifting and movement
  • Refined Hardware Clipping: Updated clipping stage for smoother, warmer high-feedback tails
  • Enhanced Stereo Imaging: More intuitive controls to widen the spatial field

Galaxy Brain 2 combines a frequency shifter and a delay line in one interface. From subtle chorus effects to choppy amplitude modulation textures and space-laser SFX, the range covers a lot of experimental territory in a single plugin. The frequency shifter produces clean pitch transitions, and the delay line creates washing, warbling echoes that sit well in a mix without extra EQ. Running it as an AUv3 inside AUM gives you a flexible modular playground for ambient and experimental work, and in Logic Pro for iPad it inserts directly on any track for studio use.

Core features:

  • Frequency Shifter and Delay: Blends pitch alteration with time-based echoes in one plugin
  • Three Modulation Sources: Internal routing to animate parameters over time
  • Optional Hardware Clipping: Warm, analog-style saturation to tame wild feedback loops
  • Universal AUv3 and standalone on iPad, iPhone, and macOS
