KOMBINAT4 marks the fourth generation of one of Audio Damage’s most recognizable effects. This version introduces a significant jump in complexity from its predecessor, Kombinat Tri, moving from a three-band system to a highly flexible eight-band crossover. This allows for precise surgical distortion where specific frequency ranges can be mangled independently. Each of the eight bands can be assigned one of 38 different distortion algorithms, ranging from subtle tube saturation and grit to extreme bit-crushing and waveform destruction.
The app is built as a full AUv3 plugin, allowing it to be hosted within AUM, Logic Pro for iPad, and Loopy Pro. It maintains the brand’s commitment to “desktop-grade” DSP, ensuring the mobile version sounds identical to its macOS and Windows counterparts.
