The VAPolyLoop app received its version 1.1 update on February 4, 2026, focusing on stability enhancements following its initial release. This minor patch addresses performance issues in the sequencer and MIDI handling, ensuring smoother operation in AUv3 environments.
- Fixed issues with clip editor functionality
- Improved MIDI CC saving and recall
- Enhanced UI responsiveness on older devices
VAPolyLoop is a fresh addition to its lineup of virtual analog synthesizers for iOS and macOS. The app combines classic subtractive synthesis with aย 16-step analog-style sequencerย and pattern-based workflow, making it well-suited for creating evolving basslines, arpeggiated textures, and rhythmic synth parts directly on iPad or iPhone.ย
The core sound engine features three multi-wave oscillators, a resonant diode-ladder low-pass filter, VCA with distortion and bass boost, and a flexible multi-effects section including delay, chorus, flanger, reverb, EQ, and compressor. Pattern sequencing allows up to 8 clips of 16-bar sequences, with note, gate, and parameter automation editable via piano roll or on-pad controls. Project files can be stored in iCloud Drive and the synth also includes an internal audio recorder with export formats such as WAV, AIFF, CAF, and AAC.
VAPolyLoop runs as both a standalone app and as an AUv3 plugin, supporting MIDI 2.0, Ableton Link, Bluetooth MIDI, and per-note channel control โ making it a flexible sound source and sequencer for iPad-based music production setups. Itโs currently available at an introductory price with a launch discount.
