ZAK Sound released RZ Mobile, a free companion app designed to control the desktop Raizes Player via Wi-Fi. The app provides a touch-based performance interface with an MPE-capable keyboard supporting glide and slide gestures for expressive playing. It includes a built-in generative chord and melody engine that creates musical ideas in real time, a vector surface for continuous parameter modulation, device motion tilt for 3D control, and macro sliders for quick access to multiple parameters. All controls are mapped to send MIDI data over the local network to Raizes Player running on the same Wi-Fi.
RZ Mobile works as a standalone app on iPad and iPhone (no AUv3 plugin mode). It requires Raizes Player (also free) on a computer connected to the same network. The app is optimized for low-latency touch performance and supports portrait/landscape orientation, making it suitable for live jamming, sound design sessions, or studio control workflows in electronic and experimental music production.
